Reverse Engineer 5 Degrees of Freedom Robot Arm using Programmable Logic Controller

Many types of robot arms have been developed in the market. Whenever a arm broke down, it is challenge to do reverse engineer and repair arm. This project has successfully reused existing 5 degrees freedom structure electronic components while replacing controller with new Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) LLD model. The uses DC servo motor, encoder, sensors, power supply, interface board. Since most are already available, they important be analyzed understood before can reused. Hence engineering activities needed. In addition, low-cost PLC used save cost. Thus, not possible move all axes at same time. Instead, only one axis Additionally, improved able programmed manually or automatically repeat previously predetermined position sequences. total, 90 rungs, 96 built-in commands, custom functions used. refurbished system very stable reliable.
